Richmond, Family, Mini Sessions

December 12, 2020

I love winter. I love it for the fashion, for the activities (the Burns are big winter sports fans ;)) the holidays, and the weather (yes, I LOVE snow!) I also love that it’s another excuse to hold mini sessions.

I hosted this year’s holiday mini’s at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA). I am a big fan of the VMFA, and not just because it’s down the street from me. Although, that is a plus! The VFMA is a great portrait venue for it’s classic architecture and terrific light. It works for formal portraits, casual portraits, you name it! I love it so much, Jordan and I even took our engagement portraits there!

As always, the VFMA provided a gorgeous backdrop for our holiday minis and we had the greatest families come out! Take a look!

I only offer Mini Sessions twice a year in Richmond – be the first to know about upcoming Mini Sessions by subscribing to our newsletter!

Do you remember the days visiting your grandparents, pouring over albums upon albums of family photos? Your parents' lives spread out on the pages before you. Photos leading to stories, leading to long-forgotten memories, recalling details from days long ago.

I do. It was always my favorite pastime visiting my grandma, the family documentarian. Now the task has passed down to me, documenting the days as they go by, keeping the record for my nieces and nephews, for my own children to come.

Now think of your children, ten, twenty, fifty years from now. What will they have to look back on to remember a time they were too young to recall themselves.

It would be my honor to be your family's documentarian, too! Forever chronicling your journey together with timeless portraits that your family will enjoy for generations to come.

A photo is worth a thousand memories
