Family, Milestone, Richmond

Jacqueline Aimee Portraits specializes in baby milestone photos in Richmond, Virginia as well as maternity, newborn and family photography in the Richmond areas of Henrico, Chesterfield, and Hanover.

I was so happy to meet up at Historic Tuckahoe on an early summer day in May for these sweet garden baby photos.

The biggest complement a photographer can receive is a family coming back time and time again. I am so honored each time the Andrews come to me with a milestone, from their maternity to newborn portraits, to most recently for their baby’s one year milestone photos. A fitting location since a little over a year before we were meeting up in the same location for their maternity photos as they awaited their little one.

This session was so fun and playful. We started in the field in the biggest and brighest sun you could imagine but I loved it!

Then we moved to the garden where Lee enjoyed smelling the flowers and playing airplane with mom and dad. I adore how sweet and natural these photos are.

We ended in the English garden, which is tucked away and in the shade. Baby Lee had some tender moments with his parents, who I’m sure were flooded with emotions seeing their baby boy at his one year photos.

I also took the opportunity to photograph with film during this session. I love the colors and softness of so many of these images. The greens and blues are so warm and inviting. It felt like a hot summer day, but would you believe it was closer to 70 degrees that morning?

This was such a fun milestone session and I can’t wait to see these three again!

Do you remember the days visiting your grandparents, pouring over albums upon albums of family photos? Your parents' lives spread out on the pages before you. Photos leading to stories, leading to long-forgotten memories, recalling details from days long ago.

I do. It was always my favorite pastime visiting my grandma, the family documentarian. Now the task has passed down to me, documenting the days as they go by, keeping the record for my nieces and nephews, for my own children to come.

Now think of your children, ten, twenty, fifty years from now. What will they have to look back on to remember a time they were too young to recall themselves.

It would be my honor to be your family's documentarian, too! Forever chronicling your journey together with timeless portraits that your family will enjoy for generations to come.

A photo is worth a thousand memories
